Game Day Changes Coming to OSU This Sesaon

These changes were announced Monday on OSU Beavers.com

Fan Fair

Oregon State University football is a day-long event for the entire family. Fan Fair is returning to Parker Plaza in a new area dubbed Beaver Boulevard; it is the official Beaver football pre-game party. Beaver Boulevard is the perfect spot to enjoy pre-game festivities with live music, interactive games and numerous giveaways. Fan Fair offers something for all fans and is open three hours prior to each home game. Admission is FREE.

Beaver Walk

Cheer the team on at the Beaver Walk, approximately 2 ½ hours prior to kickoff.  The team bus arrives at Ralph Miller Drive, adjacent to Fan Fair.

Stadium Atmosphere

Reser Stadium will be utilizing Game Ops Commander, a music DJ system developed by the Portland Trail Blazers, for the pre-game music played over the public address system.

A new team entrance video will be played on the Jumbotron as the team enters the field.

Fireworks will be launched from the roof tops of both grandstands over the field for a visual effect. We will utilize fireworks that produce a visual effect only.

Ticket Information

On game day Will Call and tickets sales will begin 4 hours prior to kickoff.  Will Call is located at gate 17.  Ticket sales will be at gate 14 and the front ticket office at Gill Coliseum

Parking

The lots along the north edge of campus are no longer free lots.  Those lots will require a $5 per vehicle fee to park on game-day.  All other lots are $10 pay lots or Athletic Issued Permit Only.  Recreational Vehicles will not be permitted in these lots and will need to use the pay RV lot at 35th Street and Campus Way.  The cost for an RV is $40.  RVs can park after 5 p.m. the day before the game and stay thru Sunday night (wed-fri. for the Eastern Washington game).  The Benton County Fairgrounds also offers RV parking with water and hookups for a nightly fee.

Parking at the Fairgrounds on game-day for non-RV vehicles will be free this year with shuttle service running 3 hours prior to the game and up to 1 hour after the game.

Portable Restrooms

We have nearly doubled the number of portable restrooms in the parking lots surrounding the stadium and on campus.

Entry Gates

Entry gates will continue to be opened 2 hours prior to kickoff (3 hrs. for Club, Loge, and east and west side suite access.)  We encourage fans to be sure they are in line at least 30 minutes prior to kickoff to ensure they see the opening kickoff.  Event staff may screen all fans entering the game for prohibited items possibly slowing the lines for entry.

What do you think? We were in need of a new enterance video and music.

Discuss.
