I'm sure all of us know the story, but if you don't, read it here.
Here are a couple of my gripes:
- I don't know if picking Buck to start was the best choice. He is the veteran of our team, but I think he has been having a little bit of problems lately. He's obviously lost velocity this year, but I don't know if that is the reason. For me, the glaring moment in the game was in the first inning. His 0-2 pitch to Dennis Raben was ripped to the fence for a two run double. That pitch seemed right down the middle. It should of been something off speed and off the plate on a 0-2 count.
- Miami scored when they had runners on base, and we didn't. Miami scored 11 runs on 11 hits, and Oregon State 1 run on 6 hits. However, both teams left 8 men on base. It just seemed like Oregon State wasn't talking advantage of the oppertunities they were given.
OSU's next game will be against Georgia. It will take place on Monday at 1 p.m. PDT. The winner of that game moves on, loser goes home.
Go Beavers!
