I'm coming to you tonight from a hotel lobby in Ontario, Oregon. I'm here attending a memorial service before heading back to Sherwood, and then to Washigton D.C. for a whirlwind trip. Here are some updates from the world of sports:
- The top half of the College World Series bracket played their first round games today. Clemson edged Gerogia Tech 8-4 in Game 1, scoring all 8 of their runs in the 8th inning. Cal State Fullerton and North Carolina are playing right now. CSF leades 5-4 in the fifth inning currently. Follow it live here.
- Tiger missed the cut at the US Open. Maybe 9 Weeks off was a bad idea. After riding in the car all day, that sure is a surprise.
- For live updates of tomorrow's CWS game, check the Oregonian Beat Blog here. Norm Maves should be blogging live from Omaha. Also take a look around and check out the post on Linfield coach Joy Locey. However, I'll keep you updated here as much as possible.
Go Beavers!
I still can't believe Tiger missed the cut.
