Reality Bites: No Football for 9 Months

Most of you are probably already over the high of watching yesterday's Sun Bowl, but if you aren't, good for you. Keep partying. The reality is, there will be no more Oregon State Football for 9 months. Also, yesterday's game was the last college football game for our 12 seniors. I'll get a subsequent post up for the seniors in the coming days.

Now, it's time to sit back, relax, and watch the rest of the 06-07 College Football Season unfold. I encourage all of you to continue checking back to Building the Dam during the off-season, where we will talk Basketball, Baseball, and other subjects floating around campus.

In just a few hours, the Men's Basketball team will tip off against Oregon in the first basketball Civil War of the year. You can catch the game at 1 p.m. PST on FSN.

I'll get an open thread up in a few minutes where you can leave your comments on the game.

This season was a great ride, and thanks to everyone involved in the Beavers football program for putting together a great second half.

We still have some things to look forward too, like our Nomination for Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year, which would add $100,000 to our General Scholarship Fund. If you haven't voted yet, click on the link at the top of the page. That honor would be a great accomplishment for our program. The award is announced at halftime of the BCS Championship Game, January 8th.

Also, when we return to Corvallis next year, we will have another addition to Reser Stadium; the South End Zone. Follow the progress live with this web cam. I'll post pictures and and info I get during the coming months.

And while you're here, take a minute to vote for who you think should be the MVP of the Sun Bowl. You'll find the poll to your right in the sidebar.

Go Beavers!
