Pac-10 Football Saturday

Here's a look at some games going on elsewhere in the Pac-10 Today:

No. 8 California at Arizona (12:30 p.m., ABC)
This game should go Cal's way, but Arizona is looking for yet another upset to add to last week's win over Washington State. Arizona was in a similar position like this last year. They were scheduled to play 8-0 UCLA, a team that was ranked high in the BCS picture. (And the Bruins already beat the Beavers 51-28 earlier in the season) Never the less, that Arizona team came out and beat 8-0 UCLA 52-14. So Cal better come to play, because Arizona has the potential of beating any team on any day. They upset the Beavers 29-27 at Reser last year. Prediction: Cal 35, Arizona 21

Stanford at Washington (12:30 p.m., Radio Only)
Eh... who cares. Washington looked hopeful early on in the year, but with the loss of Isaiah Stanback in the game against Oregon State, the Huskies haven't been clicking on all cylinders. On the other hand, Stanford, well, is 0-9. If they want to win a game by the end of the season, this could be their time to do it. I just don't see it happening... Prediction: Washington 42, Stanford 14

Washington State at Arizona State (6 p.m., Radio Only)
After seeing both of these teams play, I give the edge to Washington State. The Cougars have matched up well against some tough competition, (USC, UCLA) but let one slide last week against Arizona.  On the other hand, Arizona State will have home field advantage, but I don't think the Sun Devils have the firepower to beat the Cougars. Prediction: Washington State 21, Arizona State 14

No. 21 Oregon at No.7 USC (7:15 p.m., FSN)
I honestly cannot decide who I want to win this game. The Beavers need the Trojans to lose to move up in the Pac-10 Standings, but a win for USC would also help the Beavers get passed the Ducks in the standings. Either way, it's going to be a good game. And honestly, I'm going to be happy whoever wins. Another thought that's going through my head: The Beavers beat the Trojans, so their win is going to look a lot better if the Ducks lose today. Just a thought. Prediction: USC 35, Oregon 31
