I don't have time to do a full preview of the game, but I do know these things about Washington State:
This is a must-win game for the Beavers. Washington State is always a scary team, and especially after they almost beat the Trojans last week, anything could happen. We need to be aware of their speedy receivers in Jason Hill and Micheal Bumpus, as well as Chris Jordan. Their rushing attack is led by sophomore DeMaundray Woolridge and freshman Dwight Tardy.
The Cougs are also good on defense, but not great. They have just what they need to make stops, but the Beavers should still be able to gain some ground in the air and with the running attack. The weakest part of thier defense is probably the corners, which could help out the Beavers. On the other side of the spectrum, their strong point is the linebackers, with sophomore Gret Trent in the middle.
All in all, this should be a great game that the Beavers must win. We've got a short stretch of winnable games, starting today with Wazzu and then Washington and Arizona in the coming weeks.
My Prediction: 37-34, and I gotta go with the Beavers....
Go Beavs!
