Winnipeg's local favorite place kicker, Troy Westwood, was released from the team last Sunday after 17 years. Serna, a rookie and local unknown, filled right in where Troy left off with four field goals, one of them coming with :01 left on the clock to give his team a 19-16 victory.
A capacity crowd of 29,553 came to see the Blue Bomber's final pre-season game.
The opposing team's kicker missed all three of his field goal attempts.
