Well it had to end sometime, and ended a bit of a good and bad for Darwin has the record but ends up tied at 141 games with Placido Polanco (2007).

Well since we don't have OSU football to follow this weekend here is a bit of baseball news of note! Great stuff!

Yes the Cubbies are not doing all that well overall, but our OSU Alum is playing some awesome defense.

I've been a fan of Barney since his breakout spring last year. Nice to see him not only quieting some of the critics this year, but getting notice for his on-the-field contributions, and for his work ethic. He may not be an all-star, but I think he's a great addition to the team.

Since we are all on a pretty good baseball high right now here is some more neat news about Darwin Barney continuing his excellent MLB play for the Cubs.

"CHICAGO -- Rookie second baseman Darwin Barney will start Friday for the Cubs in the season opener against the Pirates." Darwin went 2 for 4, scored a run, was caught stealing once, and on the fielding side helped turn a double play in the Cubs 6 to 3 loss to the Pirates.
