Arizona 83, Oregon State 72

Good News: We only lost by 11

Bad News: It's still a loss. 0-4 in the Pac-10 kinda hurts.

Good News: We finally get a team we can play with, Arizona State, on Saturday.

Notes:

We were down 10-0 early, and lost by 11. Take a look at the ESPN game track,  and you can tell that could of been one of the keys to the game.

I like what I saw from Marcel Jones, scoring 26 points, but it sounds like there was some sort of a brawl after the game. I watched up until the 6:00 when I had to leave the house, but from reading some reports of the game it sounds like the police got involved. It doesn't sound like anything that crazy happened, but still. I'll be on the lookout for anything regarding the incident.

The Beavers have lost 25 games in a row in Tuscon

Like I mentioned earlier, we're going to get a real test when we play Arizona State on Friday. On the other hand, the Wildcats will play Oregon on Sunday, which should be a great game. Arizona needs to clean up some things from the game tonight, but other than that we should see some great match-ups, particularly at point guard.

The Stats:

Marcel Jones: 26 points, (11-21) 8 Rebounds, 2 Assists, and 1 Foul in 26 minutes

Sasa Cuic: 16 points, (6-13) 6 Rebounds, and 3 Fouls in 35 minutes

Kyle Jeffers: 2 points, (1-1) 4 Rebounds, 2 Assists, and 4 Fouls in 21 minutes

Josh Tarver: 1 point, (0-5) 1 Rebound, 4 Assists, and 2 Fouls in 33 minutes

Wesley Washington: 7 points, (3-6) 5 Rebounds, 3 Assists, and 3 Fouls in 24 minutes

Angelo Tsagarakis: 6 points, (2-6) 1 Rebound in 13 minutes

Seth Tarver: 7 points, (3-3) 2 Rebounds, 1 Assist, and 3 Fouls in 17 minutes

Jack McGillis: 7 points, (2-3) 1 Rebound, 2 Assists, and 4 Fouls in 17 minutes

Michael Johnson: 0 points, (0-1) in 1 minute

Schaftenaar: 0 points, (0-1) 4 Rebounds and 1 Assist in 5 minutes

Again, next game vs. Arizona State on Saturday. More to come in the following days regarding that game.

Go Beavers!
