I'm head off to the Rose Garden to see the Blazers play the Grizzlies. I'm pumped to get my Greg Oden bobble head, then watch my old favorite player, Damon Staudamire. And of course, I'm interested to see what the Blazers look like this year.
So, it there are any lingering thoughts on your mind as we approach tomorrows game, here's the place.
Off to the Garden...

Living Large in the Pac-10
According to a recent Coldwell Banker study, the Pac-10 is the most expensive Division 1 conference to own a home in. The average home cost is almost a solid 300,000 higher than the competition.
It makes sense. The Pac-10 has two LA schools (1.3 million per house) and a Berkley (San Francisco suburb) school. However, Stanford takes the prize here with an average home price of 1.6 million. Palo Alto is the most expensive college town in America, folks. Here's the list:

Stanford, USC, UCLA, and Cal help to carry the Pac-10 to the prize for the highest priced conference overall:

Corvallis is the eighth most expensive college town in the Pac-10. Only Arizona (Tuscon) and Washington State (Pullman) rank lower.

This whole Erin Andrews thing...
...is starting to get out of hand.
Okay. So I'm in Omaha, and so is Erin Andrews. She's covering the College World Series, and I'm there watching the College World Series. She walks around talking to players before the games and during batting practice. She walks between dugouts between innings. She stands in front of the cameras and does her little snippets between innings. You can't help but notice her every once in awhile.
So, naturally, I took some pictures. I caught her looking in my general vicinity a couple of times. Posted those.
Now, everyone thinks I'm all over her. Type Erin Andrews into Google, and BuildingTheDam comes up #7. I can't decide if I'm proud of that or not.
Dave over at Addicted to Quack shared his thoughts. He doesn't think she's hot, and uses my pictures as evidence and such.
Now, I'm getting hits like none other, all having to do with Erin.
So, whats the point of this post? None really, other than I'm not obsessed or anything. Just took a few pictures, and posted them.
That's all.
GO BEAVERS!

Solving Problems: Zidane Style
I'm sure most of you watched the World Cup final between France and Germany, in which Zinedine Zidane headbutted Marco Materazzi, and was sent off with a red card. Here you can see the original:
Now. As I was browsing through YouTube, I found some other interesting videos, making fun of Zidane. Here they are:

Late Evening Red Bull
This is too good to pass up:

They're calling it the catch of the year. Red Sox Center Fielder Coco Crisp robs David Wright on a fly ball to save the game for the Sox.
Update [2006-6-30 14:20:39 by Jake]:Leave it to YouTube, the video was uploaded there. Here it is:
And in the post-game interview, Coco adds:
"I had a Red Bull right before the inning and they say a Red Bull has wings so I needed all of that to get up there and make that catch"
The Endorsement is in the bag. Coco's Catch will be coming on a commercial to a television set near you soon.
Update [2006-6-30 16:11:22 by Jake]: It just hit me... this is the position Jacoby Ellsbury is trying to earn. We'll have to see what happens. I'll keep a closer eye on this situation....

Saturday Night Humor
Courtsey of.... Every Day Should Be Saturday. Official provider of Saturday Night Comedy.
Anywho... here it is. Enjoy...
Haha... good stuff. Makes you wonder if newscasters even think about what they're saying... I love the look on the guys face when she says it... and she doesn't even try to cover up her mistake. She just takes it in stride.
Until Tomorrow,
Go Beavers!
