Oregon St. head coach talked today with ESPN's Ted Miller of the Pac-12 Blog about last year's start, and this Saturday's season opener against Wisconsin being "as big a nonconference game as Oregon State has ever hosted."
Postponed ticket plan. I've got an e-mail sent to them about what if the game is not rescheduled would they refund the tickets after the season is over if one does not exchange them. I'll let you guys know if they get back to me.
Hopefully, he's as good or better than his brother Roeland, that would help the team tremendously.
Well since we don't have OSU football to follow this weekend here is a bit of baseball news of note! Great stuff!
Looks like worst case scenarios has the game occurring on either Sunday or Monday, which isn't terribly as Monday is Labor Day.
Oregon St. has moved to replace long time softball coach Kirk Walker, who resigned earlier this month after 18 years as the coach of the Beavers, to become an assistant coach at UCLA, by promoting Laura Berg to become the 8th. head coach in the program's history. Berg, who has been an assistant for Oregon St. the last 2 years, has been widely credited as a key factor on the Beavers' return to the NCAA playoffs this past spring. "In the world of softball, this is a home run for Oregon State," Athletic Director Bob De Carolis said. "Coach Berg is an accomplished player and coach at the highest levels of the sport. I'm very impressed with her approach to the game, and I look forward to many great seasons for our program with her at the helm." The Pac-12 is the most accomplished and deepest conference in college softball.
In the second most watched position battle in the state of Oregon (Oregon State running backs ya'll), Marcus Mariota has beaten out Bryan Bennett for the starting quarterback job in Eugene. Neither Mariota or head coach Chip Kelly will be available to the media until after Saturday's practice. --Connor
