Is Wayne Tinkle On The Hot Seat In 2019-2020
The question has to be asked throughout the off-season for the Beavers program, after the team not only crumbled down the stretch of the 2018-2019 campaign, dropping five of their last seven contests overall, but also missed any sort of post-season basketball for the third straight season. The 2019-2020 season would be Tinkle’s sixth season in Corvallis, where he’s amassed a 75-83 record overall and a 35-55 mark in Pac-12 play.
Tinkle was hired by Oregon State from Montana in 2014, after the Beavers parted ways with Craig Robinson, who finished with a 46.9% win percentage in his six seasons at the school, the highest such mark since legendary Ralph Miller ran the program from 1971-1989.
Tinkle has currently won 47.5% of his games at Oregon State.
