The College Football season is only a few weeks away, and our countdown is wrapping up. Today we cover No. 7.
#7: Isaiah Hodgins - Wide Receiver
Oregon State’s lone win from the 2017 season came courtesy of an Isaiah Hodgins last minute touchdown catch against Portland State. Hodgins, the top recruit from the 2017 recruiting class, saw immediate playing time as a true freshman. He ended the season with 31 receptions for 275 yards and two touchdowns. He was mysteriously benched for a game, but was clearly one of the Beavers best receivers even as a true freshman.
Hodgins has the frame, athleticism and the instincts to be the Beavers top receiving option for the next few years. Potentially the biggest obstacle holding him back might be finding a reliable quarterback to feed him the ball. If either Jake Luton or Conor Blount seize the starting job and stay healthy all season I’d expect Hodgins to have a very productive season.
