CAPS indicates starter last year. *s are number of years as a letterman.
With Gavin Andrews out for an undetermined length of time due to a bout with mononucleosis, and uncertainty about Seumalo's return, and his effectiveness and longevity in doubt if he does, the Oregon St. offense worked on an alternative to just putting true freshman Sean Harlow at RT today. The Beavs moved Grant Enger out to RT, and Roman Sapolu over to right guard, with Josh MItchell at Center. This now looks like the lineup likely to start, just days after Riley announced he wouldn't red-shirt Harlow.
Don't count on seeing Garrett Weinreich in the o-line rotation for a while either; his knee injury still seems a ways from being completely rehabbed.
Rather suddenly, o-line depth is a bigger problem than on the d-line. Makes letting Derek Nielson transfer instead of giving him one of the scholarships reserved for the host of JC transfers that never made it into school look even worse than it did at the time Nielson left for financial reasons.
It's also notable that Victor Bolden doesn't show up on the depth chart in the kick return game, despite that being one of the reasons head coach Mike Riley decided not to red-shirt him. The script could go out the window here, and especially on kickoff returms, which Oregon St. was the worst in the Pac-12 at a year ago, probably should.
Micah Audiss shows as the #2 at Strong Safety, but expect to see him a lot in nickel packages.
Also don't be surprised to see Dylan Wynn slide inside to DT at times, and Scott Crichton to be on the right side at DE. Devon Kell will probably show up when Wynn does this. Defensive front variations seem to be the preferred alternative over a 3-3 look, retaining 3 LBs, something experimented with at times, but seen less so in later sessions of pre-season practice.
