Oregon St. continues to grow their list of commitments as we head toward National Letter of Intent Day next Wednesday, after receiving a verbal from Oklahoma athlete Corey Lawrence.

Lawrence, who played for the Del City Eagles in Oklahoma City, is 6'1", and weighs 175 lbs.

Lawrence played both Wide Receiver and Safety for Del City, and is considered an "athlete" by the recruiting services. Rivals rates him 3 stars, and Scout 2. He could see time in the secondary for the Beavers, and is a likely candidate for several special teams assignments as well.

Lawrence choose Oregon St. over offers from Kansas St., the defending Big XII Champion, as well as North Texas and New Mexico, as well as instate Tulsa (though both Oklahoma and Oklahoma St. passed on him). Arkansas St. was also in the conversation.

Here's Lawrence's highlight video:

Oregon St. now has 24 commits for the 2013 football season, and will be over the 85 player scholarship limit, pending any gray shirt moves, or other player losses.
