Oregon St. Postpones Arkansas-Pine Bluff Contest Again And Again

UPDATED UPDATE

The Oregon St. campus, and the surrounding roads, received up to a foot of snow today, and temperatures are expected to approach record lows Friday and Saturday evenings, making travel in the mid-valley dangerous. As a result, the men's basketball game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which was originally scheduled for Saturday at noon, has been postponed again, this time until Sunday evening at 6 PM.

The first schedule change was to 6 PM, but before the press releases were even complete, the game was moved again, to 2 PM Sunday.

Late Saturday night, Oregon St. again moved game time, this time back to 6 PM, this time due to the winter weather in Texas.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff had its flight canceled on Saturday, but now has another scheduled Sunday morning from Dallas to Portland. The Golden Lions will then will bus to Corvallis, but can't arrive in time for a 2 PM start, hence the 6 PM time is again on for contest.

With temperatures in the valley not going to climb above freezing before then, and Corvallis streets still snow-covered, travel will be challenging in the area.

Oregon St. was going to waive parking fees in the Reser Stadium parking lot in an effort to attract an audience.

Further Update:

Arkansas-Pine Bluff was unsuccessful in getting out of Dallas Sunday morning, so the game has now been postponed indefinitely.

The schools will attempt to reschedule the game on a later date, but no hoops today.
