Wisconsin Names Starting QB

Wisconsin, whom Oregon St. will be hosting on Sept. 8 for the second game of the season, has named their starting quarterback, and for the second year in a row, they are going with an ACC-transfer. After experiencing tremendous success with Russell Wilson, Badger coach Bret Bielema has settled on Maryland grad Danny O'Brien, who as a grad-school enrollee is immediately eligible. O'Brien completed 342 of 603 passes, for 4,086 yards with 29 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions, in his 2 seasons at Maryland. He actually has two years of eligibility left for Wisconsin, having redshirted in 2009, and graduated in 3 years, which opened the door to escape the Randy Edsall era with the Terapins.
