Wheaton, Gwacham Get Seconds At Oregon Twilight Meet

Oregon St.'s football/track and field dual sport athletes were in action at the University of Oregon Twilight Meet Saturday evening, and WR/Sprinter Marcus Wheaton and WR/High Jumper Obum Gwacham both claimed solid second place finishes.

Wheaton claimed second in the 100 meters, with a time of 10.58, in the 100 meter dash, second to Washington's Ryan Hamilton, who won in a time of 10.51, and ahead of third place finisher De'Anthony Thomas, the running back from Oregon, who crossed the line with a time of 10.65.

CB/Sprinter Malcolm Marable also competed in the 100, finishing 5th in his heat, and 12th overall, with a time of 11.12.

Gwacham finished second in the high jump after clearing 6' 11 3/4", behind only Justin Frick of Shore Athletic Club, who cleared 7'3".
