Former Oregon St. great Darwin Barney, now with the Chicago Cubs, did something he had never done before yesterday, and Beaver fans, Barney fans, and Cubbie fans can all enjoy it with him.
Barney hit his first ever walk-off home run at any level to lift the Cubs to an 8-6 win over the San Diego Padres Wednesday.
"That was 1st walkoff HR I've ever had at any level. I didn't even see it go out," Barney tweeted afterwards.
Given the number of games Barney has played at at a high level relative to the competition at a number of level in his life, that's rather amazing.
