Texas Suspends 2 Players On Eve Of Alamo Bowl

Texas Coach Mack Brown has had to send a pair of his players home early. One could figure into the outcome of the Alamo Bowl. - US Presswire

Breaking news out of San Antonio this morning, as Inside Texas reported, is that Longhorn backup quarterback Case McCoy and injured linebacker Jordan Hicks have been sent home due to a violation of team rules. The violation is reportedly for missing curfew in conjunction with the incident overnight that led to the sexual assault allegations that broke this morning. The players have not been charged, and the police investigation is ongoing.

Updated:

Barking Carnival has the ongoing coverage of the matter, and while we don't know who did what, or why, we do know Texas will be without their backup quarterback (Hicks was already out for the season, so there won't be any on-field impact there) against Oregon St.
