Oregon St.'s Cody Vaz became the 4th different Beaver to be names a Pac-12 Player of the Week (in only 5 games), and the second quarterback to be named the Offensive Player of the Week, after directing Saturday's 42-24 win at BYU.
In his first start, and first action since 2010, Vaz completed 20 of 32 passes, for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns, and did so without any turnovers, via fumble or interception. Vaz also posted a quarterback rating of 180.6. Only West Virgina's Geno Smith has a higher rating for the season.
Seems the folks at the Daily Barometer, the Oregon St. student newspaper, knew what they were doing last week.
