So said Dr. David Aukerman, the Oregon St. team physician, today after the completion of the surgery to clean up a meniscus tear on Sean Mannion's left knee.

Mannion, Oregon St.'s starting quarterback, started his rehab today following the surgical procedure, and is initially expected to be out 2-4 weeks, which is the norm for injuries of this type and severity, according to Dr. Aukerman.

Dr. Aukerman also said there were no surprises, and that things went tremendously.

In other injury news from today's practice, both wide receiver Markus Wheaton and linebacker D.J. Welch, who were held out earlier in the week with a foot and an ankle sprain, were back practicing full speed.
