Oregon St. Adds Another JC DB
Oregon St.has received a verbal commitment for the 2012 football recruiting class from Chris Young from Auburn, WA.
Young, a 6'2", 220 lb. safety, has played the last 2 years at Arizona Western Community College in Yuma, AZ, the same place DT Calvin Tonga, who previously committed to the Beavers, is coming from.
Young is rated a 3 star safety prospect by both Rivals.com and Scout.com, and was named him a Junior College All-American and the National Junior College Athletic Association's Defensive Player of the Year.
Here's his video:
Young was also considering Washington State, Indiana, New Mexico State, Ohio State, Oregon, USC, and Washington.
Young has 3 years in which to play 2 seasons left of his eligibility. Young brings the commit list at the moment to 24 for the Beavers.
In other recruiting news, 4 star DB Devian Shelton, who visited Washington over the weekend, told ESPN afterwards that at this point, he's still "soft" committed to Oregon St. Shelton plans to visit Tennessee next weekend.
3 star DB Cleveland Wallace didn't change his mind (at least at this point) after visiting Boise St. this past weekend either.

Do they have open tryouts or something for the Beavs?
cause if I get into grad school and choose to come there, I kinda wanna try out just to see.
Beating off the dog is never appropriate when we have company over...... I mean EVER!
That'd be neat
You could be an embedded reporter
I think they actually do
a buddy of mine wanted to try, but didn’t have enough money for the official NCAA physical. From what he told me though, they test first on athleticism. Bench Press at 185 lbs, Pull-ups, running a 40, probably some other stuff that I can’t remember any more.

I'd need to work-out a bunch that's for sure
but it’d be fun! how much are these physicals?
Haikus are easy,
but sometimes they don't make sense.
Refrigerator.
So I guess we have 2 4-star recruits sticking with OSU and will sign on signing day
a TE and a lineman…per twitter;
