Jonathan Smith Joins Big Blue
Former Oregon St. quarterback Jonathan Smith, who most recently was the Offensive Coordinator for the Montana Grizzlies, has become the quarterback coach for the Boise St. Broncos, under Chris Petersen.
Smith, who seemed an obvious choice to bring back to Corvallis to bring creativity to the Oregon St. offense, will instead take on the challenge of developing the replacement for Kellen Moore for the Broncos.
And earn $200K+, a four-fold increase in what he was making at Montana, one of the top FCS programs in the country (the Grizzlies won the Big Sky Conference, and reached the FCS semi-finals).

Bummer
I was really hoping he might join the Beavs again. I doub’t that happens now.
I hope I can get a bunch of championships, like 15. " - Greg Oden
It would seem RIley missed an opportunity.
Perhaps in a year or two, when Justin Wilcox takes over, he could bring Smith in then as the OC, as well as bring Keith Heyward back as DB Coach. And bring Sirmon along as DC.
There is a Santa Claus, and an Easter Bunny, aren’t there?
