Les Gutches Elected To Oregon Sports Hall Of Fame

Former Oregon St. All-American and Olympic wrestler Les Gutches has been selected for induction into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame. Gutches, who is already in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, will be one of seven inducted on Sept. 28 at the Multnomah Athletic Club, during the 32nd annual induction ceremony. Gutches won NCAA titles for the Beavers in 1995 and 1996 at 177 pounds, after finishing fifth in 1994, and earned All-American honors all 3 years. In 1996, he was honored as the top NCAA wrestler. OSU alum Rich Brooks, better known for his coaching success at Oregon, Tom Trebelhorn, Clive Davies, Kelly Blair-LaBounty, Morris "Bucky" Buckwalter and the 1982, 84, 86 and 2004 Linfield National Championship football teams comprise the rest of this year's induction class.
