Oregon St., and basketball coach Craig Robinson, has received a verbal commit for the 2013 recruiting classs from junior to be LJ Westbrook from North Salem High in Salem, OR.

Westbrook is a 6'3" point guard, who averaged 14.8 ppg for the Vikings in their 2010-11 campaign, led the Vikings to a 22-5 record, the Central Valley League Title, and the second round of the Oregon 6A State Playoffs.

Westbrook bolstered his status by earning All-Tournament honors this summer at the "Double Pump Best of the West" AAU tournament in Los Angeles.

Here he is dunking in a 65-54 win last year.

Westbrook, who is rated a 3 star prospect by Rivals.com, was also being recruited by Washington, Washington St., Gonzaga, San Diego, and Santa Clara, and after his AAU tournament success this summer, Syracuse.
