Oregon St. has 17 players assigned to a variety of summer baseball leagues, including 4 who will stay right here in town, playing for the Corvallis Knights of the West Coast League.

The Knights' pitching staff will be bolstered today, with the addition of Ben Wetzler, left (photo by RVM), Adam Duke, Scott Schultz, and Tom Zarosinski. Other Oregon St. players in the West Coast League include Ryan Barnes and Cole Bayliss, both of whom will play for the Wenatchee Apple Sox.

Six Beavers are slated for the Northwoods League, with Garrett Nash and Luke Acosta on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, Tyler Smith and Dan Child joining the La Crosse Loggers, Tony Bryant pitching for the Madison Mallards (a Beaver playing with a bunch of Ducks!), and Brian Stamps with the Wilmar Stingers.

Four Beavers are headed farther east, to the Cape Cod League, with both Andrew Susac and Jake Rodriguez going to the Falmouth Commodores, while Danny Hayes will play with the Brewster Whitecaps, and Matt Boyd the Orleans (Mass) Firebirds.

Kavin Keyes is the lone Beaver headed far north, bound for Anchorage Pilots of the Alaskan Summer League.
