USC (20-29, 10-12) @ #4 Oregon State (38-12, 17-5) - 2:05 PM (PDT) - Goss Stadium at Coleman Field, Corvallis, OR - 1240 KEJO/860 KPAM/ - Root Sports

Oregon State and USC meet at 2:05 PM west coast time this afternoon to continue the three game series between the Beavers and Trojans. After today's game, the two teams will meet again at 12:05 PM tomorrow.

Oregon State comes into today's game with a record of 38-12, 17-5 in the Pac-10. The Beavers have good wins against Connecticut, Arizona State (3), Stanford (3), UCLA (2), and California (2). Oregon State has other solid victories against Gonzaga (2), Oregon, Long Beach State (2), and Arizona (2).

The Beavers are currently on a one game winning streak after defeating USC in last night's series opener. Jared Norris led the Beavers, going 3 for 3 at the plate with a Single, Triple, and Home Run. Oregon State starter Sam Gaviglio played escape artist again, getting out of multiple sticky situations. Gaviglio improved to 11-1 on the season with the 7-2 victory.

With the win, Oregon State's magic number to win the Pac-10 Conference outright is now at 3.

The Trojans come into the game with a record of 20-29, 10-12 in the Pac-10. The Trojans are currently on a two game losing streak after falling to UC Irvine on Tuesday and Oregon State last night.

After Friday's 7-2 loss against Oregon State, the Trojans are now officially out of the race for the Pac-10 Championship. That doesn't mean that the Trojans won't want to play spoiler the rest of the weekend though, as Arizona State found out last weekend.

Ricky Oropesa and James Roberts led the Trojans in last night's loss with one RBI each. After this weekend's series with the Beavers, the Trojans will return to action on Tuesday when they host the Pepperdine Waves.

Josh Osich (6-2, 3.46) will get the start for Oregon State, while USC will send out Austin Wood (4-6, 5.48). In Osich's last start, Josh went 3.2 innings, giving up 4 runs (All earned) on 6 hits. In Wood's last start, Austin went 7 innings, giving up 4 runs (All earned) on 5 hits.

For tomorrow's series finale, Oregon State has yet to name a starter, while the Trojans will send Logan Odom (4-5, 3.56) to the hill.

Go Beavers!
