Oregon St.'s Hank Hager captured this image of Josh Osich and the evidence of his no hitter against UCLA after Saturday's 2-0 win.

Throwing the first no-hitter in Pac-10 competition in 17 years in Oregon St.'s 2-0 win Saturday at UCLA earned Josh Osich both the Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week and National Player of the Week Honors. It was also instrumental in the Beavers' winning their fifth Pac-10 series of the season, and third on the road.

That kept Oregon St. at #3 in the BaseballAmerica.com poll, behind Virginia and South Carolina. The Beavers climbed from #6 to #4 in the Baseballnews.com poll, and rose from #9 to #7 in the USA Today/Coaches' poll.

Osich's no-hitter was the first 9 inning, complete game no-hitter by a single putcher, as two of the other three were combined efforts by multiple pitchers, and the other complete game no-hitter, by Fred Gallagher against Montana, was a 7 inning game, the second of a double header.
