Pac-10 Baseball: Connor Predicts What Will Happen in Week Seven

Another good week! I correctly picked seven teams' records this week, and was only incorrect on Washington State, Oregon State, and California.

In case you missed our first posts, I'll be predicting every Thursday-Monday Pac-10 game throughout the season, and I'll keep the records of everyone who joins in at the comments section.

So, here's my Week 7 picks.

Washington (Friday-Sunday, @ UCLA)

Prediction : 0-3

The 6-15 Huskies will get to enjoy some warm weather in LA over the weekend, but the action on the field won't be very pretty. The Bruins should easily get a sweep here.

Washington State (Friday-Sunday, Stanford)

Prediction : 1-2

After a good start to the season, the Cougars have lost six in a row, and it might not get any better this week when the Stanford Cardinal come to town. I think Washington State pulls out one win because of home field advantage, but it won't be easy against a good Cardinal team.

Oregon (Friday-Sunday, @ Arizona State)

Prediction : 1-2

This series could go either way. Neither team has been overly impressive so far this season, but both teams have a ton of potential and I think all three games will be close. I'm picking the Sun Devils to win the Sunday rubber match, but this one could go either way.

Oregon State (Friday-Sunday, @ Arizona)

Prediction: 2-1

I've flipped back and forth on this one for a while, but when in doubt, go with the Beavers. I like the pitching matchups for Oregon State in all three games, so I guess Oregon State takes the series.

California (Friday-Sunday, USC)

Prediction: 3-0

The Trojans have been playing some solid baseball as of late, but California is on fire right now. The Golden Bears have won 10 of their last 11 against teams like Rice, Long Beach State, and Washington State. I think the Bears sweep, they are just too hot to pick anything different.

More predictions after the break

Stanford (Friday-Sunday, @ Washington State)

Prediction: 2-1

Like I said above, the Cardinal are hot and the Cougars aren't, but I think Washington State sneaks out one victory in the series.

USC (Friday-Sunday, @ California)

Prediction: 0-3

The Trojans have been playing some good ball lately, but I don't see them getting a win at an even hotter California team.

UCLA (Friday-Sunday, Washington)

Prediction: 3-0

Like I said above, the Bruins are just too talented not to get a win in Seattle.

Arizona (Friday-Sunday, Oregon State)

Prediction: 1-2

Such a tough series to pick. Like I said above, I like the Beavers' pitching-wise, so I'm going with OSU to take two of three from the Wildcats.

Arizona State (Friday-Sunday, Oregon)

Prediction: 2-1

Like I said above, this one could go either way, but I'm picking the Sun Devils to pull out the Sunday rubber match.

Record (Either a win, loss, or tie, based on correctly predicting that team's record for the weekend): 24-26-9, Goal: 95-45-9
