The NCAA Tournament continues tomorrow morning across the nation with the last games of the 2nd Round.
This year, I will be picking every NCAA Tournament game. If you want to join me in the comments section, I'll keep everyone's records as well. Enjoy!
Sunday, March 20th (All Times Pacific)
Washington vs North Carolina, 9:15 AM, CBS
A wonderful game to start out the day. The Huskies are here after narrowly escaping their first round meeting with Georgia, and the Tar Heels are here after a blowout victory against Long Island University. I like the Tar Heels in this one, but if Isiah Thomas and Mathhew-Bryan Amaning get hot, I could easily see Washington pulling the upset. Prediction: North Carolina
Michigan vs Duke, 11:45 AM, CBS
The Wolverines definitely impressed me with their 20 point blowout against Tennessee, but I can't see them beating top-seeded Duke in this one. Prediction: Duke
More picks after the break
George Mason vs Ohio State, 2:15 PM, CBS
This one should be a lot like the Michigan-Duke game. Expect the Patriots to stay in it for the first 30 minutes or so. but Ohio State is just too talented not to win this one. Prediction: Ohio State
Arizona vs Texas, 3:10 PM, TNT
Upset! I love the Wildcats in this one. I had already decided to pick Arizona before the 1st Round games, but Texas narrowly defeating Oakland and Arizona getting a gutty victory over Memphis just made me that much more sure of it. Prediction: Arizona
Virginia Commonwealth vs Purdue, 4:10 PM, TBS
The Rams have won two games so far in the tournament, defeating USC in the "First Four" and knocking off Georgetown in the 1st Round. It just keeps getting tougher though, as they now face the Boilermakers of Purdue. I like Purdue to run away with this one, as VCU will be too fatigued in the latter stages of the game to keep with the athletic Boilermakers. Prediction: Purdue
Marquette vs Syracuse, 4:45 PM, Tru-TV
Already we see our second All-Big East matchup. After picking the Golden Eagles to lose in the 1st Round, I was impressed with their thrashing of Xavier on Friday. Their run should come to a run however, as the Orange will be prepared and should roll in this one. Prediction: Syracuse
Illinois vs Kansas, 5:40 PM, TNT
The Fighting Illini looked solid in their 1st Round victory over UNLV, but they should be no match for the top-seeded Jayhawks. Prediction: Kansas
Florida State vs Notre Dame, 6:40 PM, TBS
Pretty much the same story as the game above. The Seminoles got a nice victory in Round 1, but Notre Dame should easily roll past them here. Prediction: Notre Dame
Record: 33-11, Prediction: 37-30
