The Pac-10 Tournament concludes this afternoon in Los Angeles with the one seed Arizona Wildcats taking on three seed Washington. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:15 PM Pacific on CBS.
Arizona is here thanks to victories over Oregon State and USC. On Thursday afternoon at Staples Center, the Wildcats defeated the Beavers 78-69 to oust Oregon State. And yesterday, Arizona got a gritty 67-62 win over USC, who was without head coach Kevin O'Neill after O'Neill was suspened for the game due to an argument with an Arizona booster on Thursday night.
Washington defeated rival Washington State on Thursday night in the best game of the tournament so far, a 89-87 back and forth affair. Yesterday, the Huskies clinched their spot in the championship with a 69-51 victory over the seventh seeded Oregon Ducks.
The winner of today's game will carry the Pac-10's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, which begins on Tuesday. But no matter what happens this afternoon, both teams are safely in the Field of 68.
I'll be rooting for Washington, as it would improve their seeding in the NCAA Tournament. Let us know who you've got in the comments section and discuss the madness here.
