Oregon St. Faces UCLA In The Pink Zone

Stay connected for news and updates

Oregon St. and Alyssa Martin, who hit 6 three pointers in the Beavers' last game, hosts UCLA in the Pink Zone 2011 Game today at Gill Coliseum.

The Oregon St. women's basketball team takes on UCLA this afternoon at 2 PM, in the "Pink Zone". Fans that purchase a $12 Pink Zone hat from Beaver Authentics will receive free admission into the game. Part of the proceeds from the hat sales will benefit the Kay Yow Foundation, sponsored by the Corvallis Clinic's Project H.E.R. and Heresco Chiropractic. Many college and high school teams are wearing Pink this weekend, to raise awareness about breast cancer, and funding for research.

Ninth ranked UCLA (20-2, 10-1) comes into Gill Coliseum fresh off a 75-48 victory over Oregon Thursday night in Eugene. Oregon St. (8-15, 1-11) will be trying to bounce back from a 70-51 loss to USC Thursday.

The Trojans overcame an early 12 point Beaver lead, and an 18 point performance by Alyssa Martin, on a career best 6 three point baskets.

Oregon St. lost to UCLA 58-46 in Pauley Pavilion in the teams first meeting back in January. Martin had 10 points, and Sage Indendi led the Beavers, with 13 points, in that one.
