OSU Softball Beats Western Michigan 8-0, Paige Hall Throws Perfect Game

Junior pitcher Paige Hall threw a perfect game as the Oregon State took down Western Michigan, 8-0 in six innings Friday afternoon in Tempe, Arizona.

"I'm really proud of Paige's presence on the mound and her command of her pitches," Oregon State softball head coach Kirk Walker said following the game. "Our defense played stellar today and we had good production on the offensive side."

The Beavers are now 2-0 on the young season, after defeating Appalachian State 8-0 in five innings on Thursday.

Next up for Oregon State is a doubleheader on Saturday. The Beavers will face North Texas at 11:30 AM and Bradley University at 2:00 PM.

Go Beavers!

What a great way to start the season

I confess that I haven’t attended any Beaver softball games, but if these first two outings are an indication of what’s to come this season, I’m going to be joining lots of other new fans to come out and root for this team. Call me a fair weather fan, but sometimes it takes a few breakthrough, attention-getting performances to build a fanbase.

I haven't either

But I figure a perfect game deserves some recognition.

Go Beavers!
