Polls and yet another bad idea for postseason play

I just don't like polls; don't get me wrong they are fun to talk about and are a good exercise for mental gymnastics. By the way my hats off to anyone who takes on this task, oh let’s say weekly. But the if this team beats that team ideas just does not work well with all of the personal basis and the unknowns because I believe  some team just don't match up well against others (in the cases of our Beavers this year it would be any team.... take my team please *insert rim shoot*). To see how I’d fix this plight that polls have made on our society please see the below ideas.

Star-divide

If everyone thinks that the BCS is broken and the polls and computers are too subjective to crown a champ, as I do, but don't want to make the regular season meaningless then why don't they just scrap all out of conf. games. Then make all confs. go to a round robin scheduled to decide who is the conf champ. Then they could have bowl games as the next rounds until we only have two left then ta da we have a true football champ. This would make it so that the kids would not have to play too many games. In turn it would keep the pressure and excitement of regular season from start to finish. Sure slow starting teams like the beavers would not make it to the big games much of the time. This brings us to my next idea of having a secondary, or more, playoff system like in basketball. I think I have read ideas like this before so I’m sorry if you have and I've not given credit to someone who has.

But for you folks that want these polls to continue, their would still have to have some polls for seating but their effects would be lessen. Or  if you are like me and still think they need to be gotten ride of we could take the polls out totally by seating by rotation from year to year or do it regionally to less the travel impact on the kids. I know yet another bad idea and only the greed of the dollar would get in the way. But what do you think? let me know either way.
