Arizona Athletic Director this evening fired football coach Mike Stoops, just a year after Stoops had the Wildcats ranked in the top 10. Stoops also led Arizona to three straight bowl games after the 'Cats had been absent from the postseason for a decade. But the 'Cats lost their last 2 bowl games in embarrassing fashion, and have lost 10 of their last 11 games, 7 by double digit margins, including all of the contests in that stretch against FBS foes. Defensive coordinator Tim Kish will take over as the interim coach for the rest of the season.
