First James, Now Taylor!
Yesterday, WR James Rodgers, Oregon St.'s best receiver and return man, dropped out of practice with a bruised shoulder. Today, it was DE Taylor Henry, the Beavers' best pass rusher, who turned an ankle, and became a question mark.
Neither injury is thought serious, according to the training staff, but with only a week until the opening game, if either injury lingers, what is already a tall order against sixth ranked TCU, shown as a two touchdown favorite, could become daunting.
"Sprained ankle, and I hope it's not long-lasting", coach Mike Riley commented." Ankles you never know. He might be running full speed in three or four days or it might linger.''
JC transfer Dominic Glover is next on the depth chart if Henry is still hindered.
In news from down the road, Oregon has named Daron Thomas as their starting quarterback for their opener against New Mexico. Ducks coach Chip Kelly selected the redshirt sophomore over fifth year senior Nate Costa, after a camp-long competition.

Wow
Good for Thomas. It’s wierd how people have been saying that Nate has looked better, yet Kelly goes with Thomas. That’s Chip for you!
