Oregon St. running back Jovan Stevenson, who had previously announced he intended to postpone surgery on his left shoulder until after the season, has changed his mind, and had the surgery this morning in Corvallis.

Stevenson, a sophomore, will redshirt this season, but should be ready for spring practice.

The move leaves Ryan McCants and Jordan Jenkins as the only experienced backups for Jacquizz Rodgers, and makes the possibility that true freshman Malcolm Marable may see action at some point this season more likely.
