PrintI've been searching for a JacQuizz Rodgers highlight video for a while now and can't find a comprehensive one. I was expecting OSU to put one out on their popular YouTube channels, but they haven't. So what is a super fan to do? Create my own.
This video is nearly 7 minutes of pure Quizz Show, encompassing his true freshman and sophomore years at OSU.

Actually...
It was produced by Chris Dudley, aka Chi Duly, as an OSU special intern in new media communications last year. He produced an entire mixtape and released it for free. The tracks were used as mojo for the team.

Seeing the Penn State clips I forgot how in many ways Quizz broke out in that game. It got overshadowed by the game in general and the spanking we got, but damn I do remember thinking if this guy can do that type of running when the team is actually playing some football we could be dangerous. Well two games later…

Our tradition of slow starts was compounded by the shell shock a lot of our players experienced playing in such a big, loud environment. Penn State was good that year, but not THAT good. Should, coulda, woulda…
I know this is pretty much a cliché
But imagine that they have some pretty decent blockers in place and a QB that has an arm with some good down field receivers and a QB with some mobility and imagine what Quizz could possibly do?
Well, I’m going melodramatic again but maybe things a aligning a bit this year for this to happen?

Early game...
Definitely wasn’t a good start to my Saturday, as I woke up early and cooked breakfast for all my buddies that came over to watch. When they cut away in the 3rd quarter, nobody wanted to stay and watch the other games that day.
I was watching the national feed.

That he always cuts back to the inside, he does not go out of bounds. He basically stops running only when he gets to the endzone or is throwing a pass!

Love watching his cuts. He runs with a lot of power and has great cutting ability. With his strength, balance, vision and cutting ability, he’d be even more amazing with just a little more speed in the open field. But hey—can’t complain!

for the props. I enjoy making videos, even if I’m not perfect at it. I’ve made a few others (see my YouTube channel), one before the 2009 CW and the other after the Duckies lost to Ohio State in the Rose Bowl.

It’s “axemilf”… it refers to axeman’s mother, of course, and I was completely unaware that it was no longer deemed appropriate by AtQ folks. Anyway, that warning was a shocker! Plus they deleted a great post about senior citizen wet t-shirt contests officiated by Votaze Burfict. I’ll never get that back, cloudy… never.
Axeman gets a lot of crap from us. It’s deserved, too!
Unfortunately for some, it got out of control, and then got over the line. There was an agreement made between the admins and axeman to stop the axemilf jokes. I’ve even been asked to hide them when/if I see them.
I view it to similarly to BtD’s version of using bad language. The dude abides.

Hmm… Jake would need to come out of hibernation to confirm that, but it’s possible. I know it’s not a no swearing zone to the degree that Blazers Edge is, but it’s not as raunchy as CGB.
I seem to remember a football season where he made a plea to keep it toned down, but that seems like awhile ago.
I’m pretty sure he’s not a big fan of the BtD swearing, but know at the same time he’s let me slide a few times with it.

I’m cool with letting some things slide when the situation warrants it… but we get a lot of pressure to keep swearing off of the SB Nation blogs.
By the way… I got off work early today. I’ve been pulling average 10 hour days for the past few weeks, so I haven’t been able to write anything, which sucks… being that this is the most exciting time of the year.
Now, time to go mow the yard…..

yeah it seems like you can get away with it on here, as long as it doesn’t become a problem/is only used in rare occasions. this blog, because of the small community, requires far less moderation than a big one like blazersedge.
It boils down to a classic “yo momma” joke, as in, “hey axeman, your mom is hot and i’d like to take her to sizzler for a quick bite to eat, rent a vin diesel movie from a red box machine and make out with her in your room while you’re at school!”
But there were a ton of them, all over AtQ, and it sounds like they eventually rubbed Axeman the wrong way. And I imagine if I was an everyday participant over there, I would also get annoyed by them too.
Especially since I think his mom might browse the site too.

Yipes. That’s awkward. Jeez, the things I read on there… I hope she doesn’t/didn’t peruse the site. Then again, if she did, she’d have NetNanny 3.0 keep the young axeman away from AtQ’s evil influence.
