A quick recap of Wednesday's practice, before Thursday's workout gets underway...
Again, it was business as usual Wednesday on the OSU campus, as the Beavers completed their first workout in shoulder pads and helmets. The full pads will come later, as the NCAA-mandated "acclimation" phase continues.
- The recap on the Oregon State website was high on the performance of senior wideout Aaron Nichols, who is competing for playing time at the crowded split end position. Jim Beseda of the Oregonian has more on the Beaver receivers.
- Buker chats with DE Dominic Glover, a guy who signed with Oregon out of high school but ended up at Saddleback College for two years.
- If you've been away from a few days, you may not know that Michael Phillip's broken nose was caused by brother Mark in a one-on-one drill before practice began on Monday. Buker wonders what their mom's opinion was on this...
- The offensive tackle positions are (arguably) the most important on the entire offense-- as anyone who has read or watched The Blind Side probably knows. Cliff Kirkpatrick focuses on the two guys who will be protecting Ryan Katz on the outside: Mike Remmers and Michael Phillipp.
