Iowa State and others nearly abandoned bribed Texas to stay
On top of all the other inducements offered to Texas to stay in the Big 12 (e.g., biggest share of new conference TV deal, separate Longhorn network deal), the five teams at risk of abandonment if the conference folded have reportedly pledged to send their share of the millions of dollars in penalties to be paid by Nebraska and Colorado directly to the U of Texas! Truly this is the Texas Ten conference (or perhaps Texas and the 9 dwarfs would better describe it).

Pretty much. That thing won’t end well, I think we can all bank on that. Might be a few years before it collapses, but I don’t think it’s long for the world.
On the upside, the rest of college football can sit back and see if Bevo TV actually works (in which case they’d just rip it off, like the Pac-10 is doing with BTN).
