The NCAA did find a lack of institutional control regarding USC and also found them to be a "repeat offender", involving, football, men's basketball, and women's tennis. The punishments include a four year probation, football will have to vacate their wins, meaning their National Championship would also be vacated*, a 2 year bowl ban for football (2010 & 2011 seasons), and the vacation of wins in basketball for 2009-2010, and in women's tennis, already self imposed, the reduction to 12 basketball scholarships, also already self imposed, a fine, and the return of monies to the NCAA from postseason play by the basketball team. Football also faces the loss of 30 scholarships over 3 years, 10 per year for 2011 thru 2013. USC will also be forced to disassociate themselves from Reggie Bush, O.J. Mayo, and agent Rodney Guillory. RB coach Tod McNair is also barred from recruiting for one year. USC has now said they will appeal, which will stay enforcement of the aspects they did not self-impose. * The BCS has announced that if the wins are vacated (and remain so after appeal), there will be no recognized champion the year USC beat Oklahoma.
