Seth Tarver Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year

The Pac-10 has released their end-of-year awards, and Oregon St.'s Seth Tarver was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year.

Cal's Jerome Randle was named Player of the Year, while the Beavers' Calvin Haynes was named to the second team.

Tarver also joined Roeland Schaftenaar on the conference Honorable Mention list.

Arizona's Derrick Williams is the Freshman of the Year,and USC'S Nilola Vucevix the Most Improved Player of the Year.

Arizona St. coach Herb Sendek is the Coach of the Year.

Happy to see Seth get his due.

I’m even happier as I look to next year. We lose a lot but I think we have some interesting pieces coming in. Sure, we’ll take our lumps, but I think Burton, Cunningham, the Aussies and the PF from NY will be instant impact dudes.
