Derek Anderson Headed To Arizona
Former Cleveland Brown and Oregon St. Beavers QB Derek Anderson has signed a two year contract with the Arizona Cardinals, according to KTAR in Arizona.
With the retirement of the Cardinals' staring quarterback Kurt Warner, Anderson is expected to initially backup Matt Lineart, but could compete for the starting job should Lineart struggle, as has happened in the past, including when Arizona opted to bring in Warner.
Anderson spent the last four seasons in Cleveland, once making the NFL Pro Bowl.
Anderson's deal is reportedly with $3.25 million guaranteed, and potentially $7.25 million.

Anything's better than Cleveland
They treated the guy like a doormat. Glad to see he’s getting some guaranteed money. Hope AZ works out better for him.
Actually, I had hoped he’d end up in Seattle, throwing TDs to TJ. :)
oh no you dint
Actually with only one decent receiver and an O-line chock full of “Lookout!” blockers, the current Seahawks team is a place where QBs go to die. Or at least spend most of the season on the injured list.
Yeah, well...
…I tried. I hit “reply” on sangdorange’s post and thought it would show up as a reply to his post. Is there another option that would have brought me success? I’m new at the interwebs….all we had back in Joe Avezzano’s time was Milam Hall housing Cyber 7 and punch cards and paying hard-earned summer job money for computer “batch processing” time.
Ah, you young people don’t know what’nthhell I’m talkin’ about…
Ha!
I could well be as old as you! So don’t be dragging the age card out on me Joe A!
In your defense sometimes I have noticed there is this lag and you don’t get the reply box and for whatever reason it is like the page loads and I have ended up on the Post a New Comment box too.
I just was like what the heck? He’s going to Arizona not Seattle, but your post makes sense except for the fact that Seattle still would be 125% better than playing in Cleveland.
