PrintWell the Beavs had a pretty spectacular start to this series winning last night 17 to 1. Here's to hoping that carries over today!
Today's game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Tanner Robles (1-0, 5.06) will be OSU's starter and the Beavs will be facing Tennessee left-hander Steven Gruver (0-0, 11.25).
I realize that the basketball game open thread will also be up today, but if you want to talk baseball, or preview your thoughts about the basketball game, you can use this space. I'll probably only be around a bit here and there, but will be following the baseball game online. Go Beavs!

I don’t have good reception for the Beaver radio so I tuned into UT radio online. What a difference: the play by play person announces the plays as they happen. I don’t want to complain, but the OSU play by play has too much delay after the crack of the bat to find out what is happening. I know he is new so I sure in the future the Beaver play by play will improve.

Man, as much as I love baseball
It is a cruel sport to follow! It is hard to figure at times and one night the ball drops in and one day it lines out to a double play!
As much as that was disappointing I’m not totally surprised. 17 to 1 was a weird out of place score against a team like Tennessee, as much as I enjoyed the result, so not surprised they bounced back and wouldn’t be surprised if the Beavs got a bit cocky. Young team, and yes I know it is early this season, but I think tomorrow’s game for the series will tell us a good deal about what this team is made of this year (at least for the first part of the season I think).
