With the advent of the Pac-12 next year, the 9 game conference schedule for the first time will omit a pair of South Division opponents. The next two years, those teams will be USC and conference newcomer Colorado.
The two largest Northwest rivalry games are the last two weeks of the regular season, with a visit from Washington on Nov. 19, and the Civil War, at Autzen, on Nov. 26.
Here's the full schedule:
Sept. 3 Sacramento St. (non-conference)
Sept. 10 at Wisconsin (non-conference)
Sept. 17 Bye
Sept. 24 UCLA
Oct. 1 at Arizona State
Oct. 8 Arizona
Oct. 15 BYU (non-conference)
Oct. 22 at Washington State (at Qwest Centurylink Field, Seattle)
Oct. 29 at Utah
Nov. 5 Stanford
Nov. 12 at California
Nov. 19 Washington
Nov. 26 at Oregon
The non-conference game with BYU, at one time planned for the season opener, has been moved to Oct. 15.
Because the Pac-12 Conference Championship game will be the first weekend of December, there is one less week to fit in the season, so with a bye on Sept. 17, the Beavers will play 10 straight weeks.
The only back to back home games will be against Arizona and BYU, and the only two game road stretch will be the last two weekends in October, at Washington St. and Utah. However, the Beavers will have 4 of their last 6 games on the road.
The 2012 conference schedule matchups will be the same, with the sites reversed, and USC and Colorado will next appear on Oregon St.'s schedules in 2013 and 2014.
Personally, I would prefer the trip to Utah and the visit from UCLA to be swapped, and maybe the bye to be a little later.
Following is the entire conference's schedule at this point. Oregon and Colorado, like Oregon St.'s, still have a game to be scheduled, and Cal needs two.
