James Rodgers Officially Out For Season

The Oregon St. senior WR/KR has a red-shirt season available, and due to also missing 5 quarters as a result of the concussion he suffered in the Boise St. game, Rodgers has played in less than 30% of the total of the regular season, qualifies for an additional year.

Surgery will be scheduled after the Washington game, after swelling has diminished.

For the rest of the season, his roll will be as it was during the Arizona St. game, an additional assistant coach.

Head coach Mike Riley has already stated Rodgers will also participate in game planning.

"I think he'll do more than ever. He'll take on an added role on this team. I've already talked to him about coming up with me and watching film, and putting together a game plan. He's always been one of the best students of the game."
