Missed a good deal of the game

But did hear Quizz’s second half run, nice!

Was on the road over the pass and so didn’t hear much of the game though, sounded like Riley put in a bunch of people after going up 31-0, so not sure how to really gauge the game. Next week will be a much better, and tougher, test of the team.

You can never tell with these games

I would give us a 7 out of 10. Our Defense looked a little rough, but they really stepped it up inside the red zone.

Ditto on that

We did a much better job tackling than we at the beginning of the season last year. Katz also really surprised me. That 56 yard dart he threw was pretty impressive, and that nice little lob he threw to the tight end wasn’t bad either. Overall I think we will have a pretty potent offense. We do need to tighten up our secondary and work out some kinks but I think they’ll be fine. Bring on the Rebels!

Yeah baby!

I can’t wait for next week. Too bad we have to wait until 8:00 PM.

That was a really fun game!

I was very impressed with Portland State’s offensive execution. I think they will put up big numbers this year.

Yeah

I agree. They might contend for the Big Sky title this year. They moved the ball very well against our defense.

Went to the game

The Rogers brothers and Canfield looked great. The secondary looks to me like a work in progress. PSU threw some bad balls and dropped others. If they had completed open routes, the score would have been different. Still it was a good first game of the season.

Beats playing Penn State at College Station.

Washington

Is looking pretty good right now. They’re down 17-13 with 9:50 left in the 3rd Quarter.

Cal and ASU

Looked very good in their opening wins. Early in the season but impressive dismantling of their opponents yesterday. UA not so much.

I agree

But you can’t really tell with ASU. They did look great against ISU, but we’ll find out if they’re for real when they play Georgia.

Cal did look great, as Maryland is a pretty respectable opponent.

Yep

Totally true about ASU but they took care of business well this weekend.

SC also looked solid too, but again let’s see what they bring in the upcoming weeks.

After the first weekend now in the books my thoughts are that if OSU can shore up its passing defense (rush and coverage both) the Beavs could be in a battle with Cal to take down the Trojans this year. BUT I’m 100% sure my impressions will change after next week though! :)
