Afalava also had a nice game for the Bears
Didn’t see that game, but he had a sack along with four tackles and a pass defended (blocked down?).
Poor Matt Moore, a bit of a tough situation he’s in there with the team situation he might get some game time but not going to be in the best of circumstances, but I guess at least it ain’t Cleveland (move on Derek, move on!). Jackson will have a tough year too if the Rams can’t get any type of pass game going (and his receivers need to stop the blatant holds on his runs too!).
But very neat to see how the alums are regular names on Sunday!

I didn't get to see the Bear's game either, and hadn't had time to track down
the defensive stats either, but I’m glad to hear he started well, even if his team didn’t, losing 21-15 in Green Bay, and losing Brian Urlacher for the season to a wrist injury.
For a lot of the Beaver alums, I see long, difficult seasons ahead, because of the circumstances around them. But part of being a pro is doing your job to the best of your ability, even if those around you aren’t. I think Coach Riley’s down-to-earth, honest style really helps in that regard.

Go Beavs!
Agreed
At least Moore came into this season knowing a bit more where he stands. Anderson and especially Jackson though could be ugly. I think St. Louis has been good to Jackson in general in terms of respect, but they just year after year can’t put a team around him (on either side of the ball). Anderson should be traded and move on, I would hate to see him get into another situation coming in off the bench for the Browns and go through all that again with the fans and the Browns franchise. I think this is a good example of “sunk costs.”
I personally think the same as you about Riley’s guidance for many of these players.
