The MAACO Las Vegas Bowl announced a contract extension with the PAC-10 and Mountain West conferences through the 2013 season. The game will continue to pit the No. 1 team from the MWC (subject to BCS qualification) against the No. 5 team from the PAC-10.
The two conferences have been facing off in the game at UNLV's Sam Boyd Stadium, where Oregon State will play Sept. 12, since 2001, with each conference winning four of the games. Beaver fans fondly remember Oregon State's 2003 visit, which capped Steven Jackson's career, as the Beavers celebrated downing the New Mexico Lobos 55-14 This year's game will be Dec. 22.
